Four Leaf Peat - Tennessee's Premier Traditional Irish Band - presents their 20th annual St. Patrick's Day celebration at the historic Bijou Theatre.
Knoxville-based Four Leaf Peat has been performing traditional Irish music locally and regionally since 2004. Traditional Irish music ranges from vibrant dance tunes to soulful songs. Four Leaf Peat's performances are marked by a keen sense of the tradition, mixed with just the right amount of influence from the rich musical history of East Tennessee. Four Leaf Peat's unique sound results from its members' various musical backgrounds and their continued passion for traditional Irish music. Four Leaf Peat has performed as featured guests of the Knoxville Symphony, Dollywood's Festival of Nations, The Smoky Mountain Highland games, and countless more festivals and stage shows over the years.
Joining Four Leaf Peat on stage will be Irish step dancers Jonathan Srour and Claire Shirey. Jonathan was formerly a world champion dancer and member of Michael Flatly’s Lord of the Dance. Claire also competed in the World Championships of Irish Dance, and has performed with several bands including the Nashville Celts and Gaelic Storm.
So here we are, keeping Knoxville’s longest running and most authentic St. Patrick’s Day celebration going!
